Another 6-Figure Sale Heads This Week's Domain Sales Chart - .Coms Dominate But ccTLDs Also Score

For the fourth week in a row the top sale on our weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart has reached six figures. As is so often the case a 3-letter .com did the honors. This time it was EVM.com at an even $100,000 in a deal handled through Uniregistry.com. The seller was the same industry veteran (who prefers to remain anonymous) who topped last week's chart with a pair of six-figures sales that totaled $423,000. He is having a good holiday season indeed!

Sedo filled the next two slots on the leader board with Hornet.com at $60,000 and Goldi.com at $59,500. They went on to sweep 17 of the 20 chart entries overall.  James Booth's BQDN.com was one of the exceptions, claiming the 4th spot with Withdraw.com at $30,000. GenericDomainMarket.com also took a seat at the table with #8 Renas.com at $9,999 as the .coms piled up 16 entries on the elite list.

Everything else went to Sedo, including all four of the ccTLDs that crashed the Big Board (the non .com gTLDs were shut out). Sedo's quartet of charted country code sales was led by #7 Hyper.ai at $11,900.

Keep in mind that these are the highest value cash only sales that have been reported to us in the past week. This column is meant to be an educational tool, not a complete list documenting ALL high value domain sales. Such a list is impossible to produce because many sales are kept private at the insistence of buyers, sellers or both. Our procedure for verifying the accuracy of domain sales reports is available here.

Country Codes

The ccTLDs were led by the four country code sales you saw on the all extension leader board above, led by Hyper.ai at $11,900. Sedo handled that sale and wound up running the table, accounting for all 20 entries on our latest Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart. It's not the first time they've done that but it is still a rare feat.

Sedo rounded out the first five with Supreme.co.uk at $5,360. A two-letter Canadian domain, #6 SI.ca followed at $4,999

The TLD race wound up in a 5-5 tie with Great Britain's .uk and Germany's .de each taking five spots on the leader board. Four of the .uk domains were of the traditional .co.uk variety. Here is how the ccTLD leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017:

Sedo recorded five of the charted sales with #2 Crypto today leading their quintet at $3,570
