Leading Domain Name Attorney Ari Goldberger Named Legal Affairs Consultant for Domain Name Journal

Ari Goldberger, one of America's leading domain name attorneys has been namd Legal Affairs Consultant for Domain Name Journal. Goldberger has been on the winning side of dozens of domain name disputes, including the highly publicized NewZealand.com case that ended in another victory.

Ari has practiced law since 1992 after graduating with Honors from Rutgers Law Camden, where he was also a member of the Law Journal. He was a litigator with the Philadelphia law firm of Pepper, Hamilton & Scheetz for five years

In 1994, Ari came up with a concept to create an online Internet law firm which he called ESQwire, and registered the domain name ESQwire.com.  In one of the earliest domain name disputes, the Hearst Corporation, publisher of Esquire magazine sued Ari in federal court.  The case was ultimately settled, with Ari retaining the domain name.

In 1997, Ari was hired by New York Internet start-up Mail.com, Inc. as Vice President of Business Development, also charged with handling all legal issues concerning Mail.com's domain names.  Ari was responsible for Mail.com's purchasing of domain names, including Paris.com, England.com, Britain.com, and Japan.com. While at Mail.com, Ari continued to operate ESQwire, through which he represents clients in connection with domain name transactions and disputes.

Ari has handled hundreds of domain name transactions and has litigated domain name disputes in Federal courts and under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Policy. That wealth of experience makes him uniquely qualifed to report on legal issues for DNJ, the domain name industry's first trade magazine. He will be contributing regular articles on issues and cases of importance to every buyer, seller and developer of domain names.

"We are truly honored to have Mr. Goldberger join us at the Domain Name Journal", said Editor and Publisher Ron Jackson. "If we can continue to attract industry leaders of this caliber, we will reach our goal of giving the domain name business the comprehensive trade coverage it deserves. We want to recognize our industry leaders and assist them in sharing their wealth of knowledge with the buyers, sellers and developers that are propagating the greatest communications medium the world has ever known".

As we continue to grow and move forward in 2004, we look forward to articles from Ari and a variety of other leading domain industry attorneys who will be contributing to this space.
