Canadian ccTLD Takes Top Spot on New Domain Sales Chart While Investors Ponder Market ProspectsPage 2

(Report Published September 21, 2022 - Return to Page 1 of Report)

Country Codes

As you saw on page one ccTLD fans had to be happy campers this week. The category produced the past fortnight's highest reported sale in any extension with ExcellentDomain.ca's $46,856 (USD) sale of MA.ca and seven more solid five-figure sales. We listed all of those in the all-extension section on the previous page, so the biggest country code sale you haven't seen yet is the #9 domain on our latest Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart - Sedo's $9,999 sale of Maeraki.jp at $9,999.

AscendDomains rounded out the top ten with another Canadian domain sale, #10 CasinoRewards.ca at $8,500. With ExcellentDomains adding four more .ca sales on the second half of the elite list, the Canadian ccTLD wound up winning the extension race with six chart entries. Germany's always popular .de TLD was just a step back with five.

For the second report in a row you may notice there are no Euro prices shown on the chart (usually the majority of ccTLD sales are made in euros and next to that number we show the amount when converted to US dollars). As was the case two weeks ago, 1 Euro still converts to to 1 Dollar so, for simplicity's sake, we are just listing those in the dollar amounts.

Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the two weeks ending Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022:

The non .com gTLDs were led by a quintet of five-figure sales headlined by Sedo's $24,999 sale of QR.org. SnapNames filled the # 2 slot on our latest Non. com gTLD Top 20 Sales Chart with LetItBit.net at $18,249, followed by Swetha.xyz's $14,888 sale of Evermore.xyz via Afternic.
