Serial
Entrepreneur Bhavin Turakhia Strikes a Deal With
Squarespace That Will Put Titan Email in Front of
40% of New Domain Owners Worldwide |
|
In the more
than 20 years that have passed since I first
met industry pioneer Bhavin Turakhia, the
serial entrepreneur has had an astonishing level
of success, reaching billionaire status while establishing
one innovative new company after another in the
domain world and well beyond it. Bhavin's
journey started in 1997 when he and his
broker Divyank launched Directi, a web-hosting, domain registration, and ad-tech group
that they sold for $160 million in 2014.
The year before that, Bhavin started the new TLD
registry operator, Radix,
that everyone in our industry knows so well today.
Next-gen banking technology company Zeta
followed in 2015, then Bhavin set about revolutionizing
business email with Titan
in 2018 (and that's still not all - just 3 months
ago he launched AI work platform Neo,
a product that centralizes context, captures knowledge and
weaves AI into every workflow). With
that portfolio, Bhavin and his creations are
constantly creating headlines and closing major
transactions. The latest news just came from
Titan, with the company announcing a new
strategic partnership with Squarespace,
the all-in-one platform for building and running a business online
that is also one of the world's top 10 domain
registrars. That deal makes the Essential Email by Titan
product available to Squarespace customers
for use on the desktop and mobile apps. Starting
at $3 a month the service provides a secure professional email address on
the customer's domain, as well as inbox, calendar, and
contact management. |

The
Squarespace deal, combined with the company's
existing footprint, means that Titan will now reach 40%
of all newly registered domains worldwide.
Bhavin explained how Titan has gained such a huge
market share. “Most email platforms were built for large enterprises, not small
businesses, whereas Titan is built from the ground up for small businesses - a founder with an idea, and small teams getting started,”
he said. Bhavin added "Titan is simple to use, affordable to keep, and made for how small businesses actually work. Millions of entrepreneurs already run their business email on Titan, and with Squarespace, we're bringing that to millions more as they start their businesses.” Squarespace
President Kevin Doerr is equally enthused
about the partnership, noting, "A professional email address is one of the first things that makes an idea
feel real. With Essential Email by Titan, entrepreneurs can
put their brand front and center from their very first email, right alongside everything they're already building with
Squarespace." Essential Email by Titan is now available to Squarespace customers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada, with a larger global rollout planned in the coming
months.
