Tokens.com Sold for $5 Million - Latest Find from George Kirikos Ranks Among Year's Top 5 Reported Sales

The domain name sales charts have been looking especially robust this year and a lot of the credit for that goes industry pioneer George Kirikos whose incomparable research work has uncovered many of the biggest sales of all-time. Earlier this week, George added the biggest publicly reported sale ever to his list when he unveiled the $99 million price that Shopify paid for Shop.com on his site at FreeSpeech.com. He just followed that one up by reporting his discovery in an SEC filing that Tokens.com had been sold for $5 million. When we chart that sale in our next bi-weekly update, barring anything bigger, George will have been the original source for three of the year's five biggest sales, having also reported Green.com at $7.5 million.

As George noted, Abraham Stategies Limited bought Tokens.com from Neighborhood Intelligence Inc. (previously known as Bed, Bath and Beyond - and, prior to that, known as Overstock.com). As of this writing, Abraham has a Coming Soon page (seen within the box outlined in white in the graphic above) on Tokens.com.

As Domain Name Wire reported earlier this year, Bed, Bath & Beyond had acquired Tokens.com for a little over $2.2 million in a Lease to Own deal that was to have been paid off at the end of January 2027. So, BB&B would have made the final payment early to complete that transaction and take advantage of the opportunity to sell for a tidy profit.
