Industry
Pioneer Garry Chernoff Sold Epidemic.com for
$1,000,000 |
|
Domain
industry pioneer Garry Chernoff wrapped up
a wild week of top tier domain sales reports
Friday (Nov. 6) when he let us know he has closed
a $1,000,000 sale of Epidemic.com.
The week began with George
Kirikos revealing the $99 million
price paid for Shop.com (now the highest
publicly reported domain sale on record), followed
by another Kirikos discovery that George announced
yesterday - Tokens.com
at $5 million. After the
Shop.com sale, the first 11 names on our 2026 YTD
Top 100 Sales Chart were all in seven
or more figures. When Tokens.com and Evidence.com
are added in our next bi-weekly update on November
18, that number will rise to at least 13
and we still have almost two full months to go. In
2025 only 9 sales reached 7 or more figures
for the entire year. |

Garry said
the Evidence.com buy contacted him directly about
the domain and the sale was closed through Escrow.
com. Garry, who is based in Canada, is one of
the key figures in industry history as one of the
world's first and most successful domain investors.
Another industry legend, Frank Schilling,
often cited Garry as a key mentor and guiding light
when Frank started in the business over 25 years
ago.
