SnapNames had 40 more sales ranging from $2,000  to $5,000. You can check those out in the table below:

 In other sales at Moniker.com, LawMax.com locked up $7,200, VJY.com commanded $7,100 and CreditDeals.com cranked out $6,500. OnTheHunt.com brought down $6,000, BestOfFlorida.com gave $3,500 a glowing review, PublicSexVideos.com uncovered $2,500 and OnFood.com dished out $2,438. 

Elsewhere RickLatona.com sold McMinnville.com ($9,800) and Newberg.com ($6,000), GetRichSlowly.com dispensed AddictionCure.com for $9,500, IndianDomain.com sold FosterCorp.com for $3,000 and F-M-E.com changed hands for $2,500 in a private sale.

Global Contenders (.biz, .info, .mobi, .net & .org)

Politics.net took the  top spot on this week's Global Contenders chart after selling for $35,000 at SnapNames, but .orgs took the next four positions with a quartet of five-figure sales led by Movers.org at $26,000. .Org went on to place six more names on the leader board, but .net still had the highest total with 18 of the 30 chart entries.

.Pro made a rare appearance with the $3,000 sale of Book.pro at Sedo. In the race among venues, SnapNames led with 13 names on the GC leader board. The AfternicDLS was also strong with nine and Sedo racked up seven.

Here's how all of the Global Contenders stacked up for the two weeks ending February 24:

There were dozens of additional four-figure GC sales just off the chart and as they often do the AfternicDLS claimed the bulk of those, piling up 57 more sales ranging from $1,000 to $2,488. Those are listed in the table below:

At Sedo, Hedgehogs.net dug up $2,388 and four 3-letter .mobis with repeating letters also cracked the 2K mark; UUU.mobi ($2,300), KKK.mobi ($2,100), HHH.mobi ($2,100) and RRR.mobi ($2,050). Pushing.net pulled $1,800, Logistyka.net notched $1,675 and Bergamo.info bagged $1,574. Sedo also sold AKX.net ($1,150), TestDevelocidad.net ($1,049) an CAEP.org ($1,000). 

Also NameJet sold e-Health.net for $2,351.

Country Codes

There is a remarkable variety of countries represented on the new ccTLD chart featuring 17 different countries. The big winner was Comparer.fr, a French domain that sold for $44,968 at Sedo. The big surprise was a pair of Laotian .la domains in the second and third spots. There haven't been many notable sales in that extension but Business.la ($17,500) and Food.la ($11,250) broke the mold this week.

Germany's popular .de had seven chart entries incuding an IDN in a tie for 17th, Blöd.de at $3,748. That domain was sold at Sedo, a venue that always dominates this chart and did so again this week by sweeping 23 of 30 chart entries.

Most of the extensions on the elite list are recognizable but #28 (tie) Forex.nr ($2,000 at the AfternicDLS) would probably stump a lot of people. .nr is the ccTLD for Nauru. There were two dozen more four-figure ccTLD sales this week and Sedo had all but three of those. You can check out their reserve line-up in the table below.

Elsewhere SnapNames sold Bankers.us for $1,500 and Pool.com sold a pair of Canadian .ca domains; 6X.ca ($1,250) and Temperature.ca ($1,161).
