Sedo Bags Another 6-Figure Sale and .CLUB Rings Up the Year's Biggest Non .COM gTLD Sale to Date

Sedo took the top spot on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart with a solid $100,000 sale of Yotta.com. According to the current WhoIs record the buyer is an individual based in Dubai. This is the 17th six-figure (or higher) sale reported so far in 2019.

This week's other headliner was the biggest non .com gTLD sale of the year to date - by far. The $60,936 sale of Business.club, made through Names.club, is more than double the price paid for the previous 2019 non .com gTLD sales leader (Buy.game at $29,999 in February). While Names.club is known for providing interest free 5-year financing on a variety of new gTLD extensions, the buyer paid the full price in one payment. .CLUB CMO Jeff Sass told me the buyer is believed to be an end user but what the new owner has planned for Business.club is not yet known.

Cryptocurrency domains continue to do well with the latest example, #3 TokenFaucet.com, fetching $21,000 in a sale made through a GoDaddy Premium Listing.

By Ron Jackson

Sedo, who swept the next 10 spots on the leader board (and 15 of 20 positions overall), rounded out the first five with EndlessSummer.com at $20,000 and Lantek.com at $19,000. Sedo's haul included both of the ccTLD names on the Big Board with #6 eCommerce.co drawing $16,650 and #11 Allergieberatung.de delivering $9,990.

The non .com gTLDs did even better. In addition to their Business.club chart topper, they put four more names on the elite list. #7 RealEstate.asia led that quartet at $16,095 via Sedo. #14 Cannabis.global followed with an $8,000 sale made by the .GLOBAL Registry. Jeremy Chou's DomainEX.App also got into the act with a pair of sales that tied for #16 - Bao.app and Yun.app at ¥50,000 ($7,500) each.

Before we go to this week's chart, I want to draw your attention to a sale retraction we made to last week's report. That was the $1.79 million sale of XA.com that was announced by Chinese company XAG. A few days after posting the sale we received new information from reliable sources indicating that the price announced may not be accurate. While it is possible the stated price was correct, the conflicting information we now have makes that uncertain. As a result, we retracted the XA.com listing and elevated GoDaddy's $150,000 sale of AccidentAttorney.com to the top spot on last week's chart.

Now, here's a look at how all of the sales leaders stacked for the week ending Sunday, April 21, 2019:
