Two 6-Figure Sales and One of Year's 5 Biggest New gTLD Sales Top This Week's Domain Sales Chart

As Americans head into the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, domain investors can be thankful for a market that continues to show strength. This week a pair of solid six-figure sales set the pace on our latest all extension Top 20 Sales Chart. Uniregistry claimed the chart topper with GreenRoads.com at $160,000. There is an interesting back story to that sale that Andrew Allemann detailed at DomainNameWire.com. In short, the buyer had tried to take the domain without paying for it through a UDRP filing last year. When that failed they had to come back with a wheelbarrow full of cash to convince the owner to give them a second chance to acquire it.

Sedo filled the next two spots on the elite list, taking the #2 spot with a nice six-figure sale of their own - Buoy.com at $110,000. They then filled the three hole with one of the five biggest new gTLD sales reported so far this year, Clean.tech at $30,000. That also ranks among the 15 biggest non .com gTLD sales year to date (that category includes legacy TLDs like .net and .org, as well as the new gTLDs).

Uniregistry rounded out the first five with two more .com sales, helping the .coms pile up 16 of of the 21 chart entries (the extra spot resulted from a tire for the final position).

The ccTLDs had yet another strong outing, taking four places on the honor roll with a quartet of four-figure sales. DomainLore.uk had the highest of those, banking $20,966 for #6 Holiday.uk. Sedo logged the other three and put another one in the top ten with #10 OTO.co going for $12,500

The biggest sale in this group that you haven't seen yet is #5 on our latest weekly Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart. That is Sedo's  $6,426 sale of Tricks.de.

Sedo went on to run the rest of the table, sweeping 23 of the 24 chart entries (the extra spots resulted from a five-way tie for the final position). Sedo's haul included $5,000 for #6 Tempo.tv and $4,688 for #7 Jupiter.io.

Germany's .de scored  an easy win in the extension race, piling up eight chart entries overall. No other extension has more than three. Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the week ending Sunday, November 24, 2019:

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org and others, including new gTLDs)

The non .com gTLDs had a clear leader this week in that $30,000 sale of Clean.tech via Sedo. After that the .GLOBAL Registry took over the story, sweeping the next 16 entries in a row. That happened because, after taking a break in reporting their sales, they released all of their premium transactions from the past 10 weeks at once. They rounded out the first four on our latest Non .Com gTLD Top 20 Sales Chart with Wedding.global at $8,100, MCS.global at $5,200 and Doctors.global at $5,000

Sedo took the three spots .global did not, adding a a pair of .net sales to the Clean.tech chart topper. #18 Enote.net nabbed $3,950 and #19 MegaPay.net posted $2,900
