Wanda.com Beats Total Price Paid for a Trio of 3-Letter .Coms to Top This Week's Domain Sales Chart

Ever popular 3-letter .coms have made hundreds of appearances on our weekly domain sales charts over the years and have often taken the top spot on the leader board. Three more of them landed on the upper half of our all extension Top 20 Sales Chart this week. The surprising thing is seeing the total price paid for all three of them falling well short of the $83,817 that chart topper Wanda.com attracted at NameJet. Wanda wiped the floor with the trio of 3-letter .coms - #3 UML.com at $21,400 and two that tied for #9 at $15,000 apiece - NQU.com and XWE.com. Still, NameJet wound up winning both sides of the battle because all of those 3-letter .com sales were theirs as well.

NameJet and their sister sales platform, SnapNames, reported all of their November sales this week. NameJet wound up putting eight of their names on the elite list while SnapNames added two more (including the trendy term OKBoomer.com at $10,050)

Meanwhile, Sedo had their usual solid outing with six charted sales. Their roster was led by #2 BRGroup.com at $30,000. Sedo produced both of the ccTLD sales that earned spots on the Big Board - #7 Aera.co at €14,500 ($16,095) and #16 AV.ai at $12,000. They also accounted for one of the two non .com gTLDs that qualified for the honor roll, a new gTLD, #13 Ploy.shop at €12,300 ($13,653).

By Ron Jackson

Uniregistry rang the chart bell four times with #4 AST.net leading the way for them at $20,000. They added three .com sales, including #9 (tie) TravelNewZealand.com at $15,000, to help the .coms sweep 16 of the 20 chart entries overall.

Here's how all of the sales leaders stacked for the week ending Sunday, December 1, 2019:

Country Codes

The ccTLDs were, of course, led by those two five-figure sales you saw on the all extension leader board above - Aera.co at $16,095 and AV.ai at $12,000 - with both posted by Sedo.  The biggest sale in this group that you haven't seen yet is #3 on our latest weekly Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart. That is Uniregistry's $6,900 sale of Ghost.ca.

Sedo swept every other position on the leader board - 21 of 22 places overall (the extra spots resulted from a three-way tie for the final position). They rounded out the first five with EV.ai at $6,500 and Oleuropeina.it at $4,718.

As they so often do, Germany's .de scored an easy win in the extension race, piling up six chart entries overall. No other extension has more than three. Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the week ending Sunday, December 1, 2019:
