We've
been talking about hot domain sales all summer and from the
look of our latest bi-weekly all-extension Top 20 Sales
Chart and autumn less than two weeks away, there is no
sign they are about to cool down
any time soon. The latest
hit parade is led by a $300,000 sale of Adapt.ai
made by Park.io
Founder Mike Carson. As Raymond Hackney reported
at TLDInvestors.com,
Mike had originally acquired the domain for just $6,510 in
2022! In addition to being one of the top .ai sales ever
reported, this one ties Rush.ai as the 5th biggest ccTLD
sale of any kind year
to date.
|

|
Another industry
veteran with a long string of investment success in multiple
TLDs, Logan
Flatt, launched another one into a new orbit with
the highest publicly reported .xyz sale on record - Super.xyz
at $287,607 through Atom.com.
That now ranks as the 2nd biggest non .com gTLD sale
reported so far in 2025,
trailing only the $375,000 sale of R.org in July. A
clever .com brandable domain, Releaf.com,
claimed the #3 spot after changing hands for $128,000
in a private transaction. It may not make much sense at first
glance but when you see it now, in use by a medical cannabis
company, you quickly get the connection the owner wants you to see
between their "leaf" and pain relief. Also, ringing the 6-figure
bell (yet again!) is Sedo's
"Mr. Premium" Mark Ghoriafi whose $115,000
sale of #4 2H.com adds another feather to a cap that
already has so many it could fly off his head on its
own!
|
Three of the next four sales on
the leader board went to .ai domains. MediaOptions
Founder Andrew Rosener reported his sale of Scoop.ai
for $75,000 with Apex
Moon representing the buyer in that transaction. Namecheap
added another to their massive .ai sales ledger with Velocity.ai
at $65,500 and James Booth (DomainBooth.com)
banked $59,888 for the third member of that trio, USDC.ai. The .coms
claimed five spots on the top half of the elite
list and easily won the overall chart entry race, 10-4 vs.
ai. The ccTLDs took six spots in all with the .ai sales
getting backup from a $40,000 sale of Boats.co
by Mike Mann at DomainMarket.com
and Sedo's $17,550 sale of Sterne.de
("stars" in German). That left four spots for the
non .com gTLDs with the next highest one after Super.xyz
being the $26,269 sale of #15 USD.org in a DropCatch
auction.

Elsewhere, Mike Mann's
DomainMarket proved long-tail .coms still produce respectable
revenue. TheLuxuryOutlet.com and UnleashYourBrand.com
booked $8,888 apiece while BestWindowsAndDoors.com
banked $4,888. That proved to be a magic number for Mike
with six others selling at that price point - BuildIcon.com,
FirstImpressionsLandscaping.com, IslandJoe.com,
Lawngard.com, Terrafort.com
and UnNuevoAmanecer.com. DomaiMarket moved two
more through Sedo - TheExperienceGroup.com
at $9,888 and Surdna.com at $4,888.
Country
Codes
.AI continued
to hold an insurmountable lead in the ccTLD race but the
rest of the pack produced some nice numbers as well with 10
sales in this category reaching at least five figures.
Led by that blockbuster 300K sale of Adapt.ai, the
leading TLD took the first four spots on the honor roll and six
places overall. You saw all of the 5-figure sales in the all
extension section above, so the biggest sale from this group
that you haven't seen yet is the #11 domain on our latest Country Code Top 20 Sales
Chart - EliteBet.io at $9,888 via Sedo.
Sedo went on to sweep
13 of the 20 chart entries with a roster that also included #12
Chaty.ai at $9,200. The only other venue with
multiple chart entries was Nameshift
where #13 HCK.nl sold for $7,605 and #17 YP.nl
went for $6,435.

Non .com gTLDs
The non .com gTLDs
had their own 800-pound gorilla that overshadowed everything
else in the $287,607 sale of Super.xyz. However,
the group reeled in seven solid five-figure sales as well. Those
were listed above so the highest ones you haven't seen yet are a
pair of Sedo sales that rounded out the top half of our
latest Non .Com gTLD Top 20 Sales Chart. Those are Episode.life
at $5,300 and CommonData.org at $4,999.
Sedo went on to sweep
15 of the 20 chart entries including all of the second half
of the honor roll other than GMO
Registry's $3,800 sale of Zero.art.
The .nets wound up edging the .orgs 7-5 in the TLD
race but nine different extensions are represented on the leader
board.
