The
domain aftermarket continues to boom with high end
sales on multiple fronts. Thanks to research done by George
Kirikos (who has found and verified more previously
unreported sales, by far, than anyone in the industry) two
more seven figure sales that were buried in 1Q-2026
financial reports have been unearthed. On May 9 George
announced the $7.5
million sale of Green.com on his FreeSpeech.com
blog. That is one of the 20
biggest domain sales ever reported (tying
Diamond.com at #17) and, in a sign of how things have exploded
over the past year, three of the all time 20 have been
reported since January 1st (full 2026
YTD Top 100 Chart here). As has been the case with
so many top tier sales, Andrew Miller (ATM
Holdings) oversaw the Green.com transaction.
|

|
|
George's
second blast came in a May 11 post
on his X.com account when he announced that WeedMaps
had sold a domain for $1 million. He already knew what
the name was but challenged readers to do some research of
their own to see who could find it. @AbsReturn (AbsoluteReturn.com)
picked up the gauntlet and with that hint earned the honor of
sharing George's
latest find - HighLevel.com at $1 million
(also sold in 1Q-2026).
George
has exceptional financial skills so I think a lot of people
have assumed that knowing where to look explained his ability
to find sales no one else could - but it so much more that
that as George revealed in another post
on FreeSpeech.com May 11. In that article he took
reaaders through his laborious process. It involves hour after
hour and weekend after weekend of incrediibly persistent
research. A photo from his notebook proves a picture truly is
worth a thousand words (I would say more like 10,000 words in
this case). If you read it you will come away with a much
deeper appreciation for the effort that has gone into making
these sales public and dramatically raising public
awareness of the true value of top tier domain assets.
The
release of sales like these are still the exception to the
rule as most remain governed by NDAs. That was the case with
another landmark sale recently concluded by Andrew Miller -
one that sent IRA.com to a new owner. Andrew can't
reveal the price but on LinkedIn he noted, "there are
about $14 trillion in total IRA assets, representing
roughly 30–35% of all U.S. retirement assets. That
makes IRAs one of the largest pools of investable capital in
the world.” It would be hard to overstate what the value
could be for THE definitive domain representing such an
enormous category. In another NDA example, Zack Gabor
at Atom.com
had to keep the name involved in a $750,000 sale of a one-word
.ai under wraps.
|
|
There
are also situations where we can tell you about important
sales in text but they can't be charted because the exact
price hasn't been determined. After Elliot Silver wrote
about finding a 2025 sale of MC.com in the $2.7
million range, Sedo's
Dave Evanson posted this on LinkedIn, "Confirming the co-brokered sale of
MC.com for approximately $3,000,000 with Sedo
representing he buyer and Saw.com
representing the seller. Congrats to all parties." The
dénouement
however came from George Kirikos who posted documentation
showing he found the sale even earlier but didn't publicize it
(and several others) due to lack of attribuition or outright
plagiarism of his work. Indeed, he released Green.com to test
the water and see if the climate has changed. The results will
have a major impact on whether or not a lot of top tier sales
ever see the light of day.
Getting
back to sales we can chart right now, there are many
more good ones this time around the track including four more
in six figures. A $695,000 sale of #3 Twig.com
at Apex
Moon led that quartet. James Booth (DomainBooth.com)
filled the next two slots with Neo.ai - sold for $275,000
via Atom.com - and Thunder.io - $179,995
through Afternic.
Those two started a great run for the ccTLDs, helping
them pile up 11 chart entries. With the non .com
gTLDs taking three spots, the .coms were limited to
six but their haul included the top three and a big
win from the Total $ standpoint.

Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart that you haven't seen yet is
#14 ChargeCloud.eu, a name that sold at Sedo for
$9,844.
Sedo went on to
sweep nine of ten positions on the second half of the leader
board with that run interrupted only by Nameshift's
$6,090 sale of BAK.nl. Here is how
