No Summer Slowdown for Domains - Ten 6-Figure Sales Light Up Latest DNJournal Top 20 Chart

With kids out of school and people on vacation, summer is typically a slower time for business but Summer 2026 apparently didn't get the memo. Here in Florida we are seeing the afternoon thunderstorms expected at this time of year, but the downpour that really stood out over the past two weeks was a flood of high end domain sales. The entire top half of our latest bi-weekly all-extension Top 20 Sales Chart was showered with six-figure sales. The chart topper, Stan.com at $750,000, also ranks as one of the ten biggest publicly reported domain sales of the year to date

I love the story behind that sale too. Stan.com was bought by a company of the same name that has been operating from Stan.store. Stan

is a popular platform that helps creators sell digital products, online courses, coaching sessions, memberships, and event bookings. In a LinkedIn post about the domain purchase, company Founder John Hu noted that when he started Stan he was so broke the best domain he could afford was StanWith.me. Being able to acquire Stan.com was the ultimate testament to how far the company has come. However, it is much more than that. Stan.com isn't just an expensive - and some might think extravagant - status symbol. The domain acquisition was a very wise and prudent investment that will pay for itself many times over in brand recognition and credibility for years to come.

It's kind of ROI that the Founder of Ring.com, Jamie Smirnoff, got when he paid $1 million for that domain name to rebrand from Doorbot. Jamie said he only had $187,000 in cash when he signed the deal. Yet, it was one of the smartest moves he ever made. After Ring exploded, Smirnoff estimated the name was worth between $30 million and $50 million to the company.

Congratulations for the Stan.com sale also go to the outstanding Lumis.com brokerage who helped Hu acquire the domain and to living legend Larry Fischer (GetYourDomain.com) who represented the seller.

Atom.com also played a big role in powering up the leader board with a quartet of charted sales led by #2 Zano.com at $500,000. They closed two more big sales for K-Ventures, #5 Joiner.com at $210,000 and #6 AlphaOne.com at $149,999.

The .coms wound up sweeping the first seven spots on the honor roll with Sedo Premium Broker Mark Ghoriafi in the middle of the mix with his $240,000 sale of #3 H2.com. Mark had a second top ten sale with #10 School.ai at $105,000 and the amazing thing about those two transactions is that Mark closed them both from a mountainside in the Alaska wilderness while on "summer vacation!"

As usual. AI was front and center, both as an element in .com sales - like Kumbaya.com's $215,000 sale of #4 GoAI.com through GoDaddy and in .ai TLD form - like the $120,000 sale of #8 TrueScan.ai by James Booth at DomainBooth.com.

While .ai has been the dominant ccTLD is recent years, it's not the only one posting strong sales. Atom sold #11 Car.co for $90,000, Sedo moved #13 Trade.io at $75,000 and Max Guerin (Nam.es) notched $50,000 for #14 A.ar (.ar is Argentina's country code TLD). With Sedo adding .es and .de sales, the ccTLDs claimed 7 chart entries overall. 12 went to .coms, leaving room for only one non .com gTLD - Atom's $25,002 sale of #20 Longevity.now.
