Well, that didn't take long! With the start of every new year in the domain business, there is a great deal of anticipation while we wait to see what the year's first blockbuster sale will be. Trellian/Above.com Founder and President David Warmuz made the 2023 wait a short one by letting me know today that the company has closed a $3 million sale of Help.com. 

It will be another year before we know where Help.com will rank among 2023 sales but, as of this writing, only three sales reported in 2022 were higher.   Because of the long holiday break, the last week of 2022 sales data won't be arriving until later this week. We will have those numbers for you in our next bi-weekly domain sales report that will be coming out Thursday evening (January 11). That will wrap up the 2022 sales season and now we

know the first report on 2023 sales that will follow will include at least one in seven figures thanks to this super premium sale. We may just use the news as an excurse to pour another glass of champagne and we're hoping it will be a harbinger of many more great sales in the months ahead. Congrats to David and everyone on the Above team for getting it done.

For Above.com and Trellian (their parent company), the big sale comes on the heels of one of their most memorable years ever, including the company's 25th anniversary celebration. As part of the festivities, Trellian/Above was the title sponsor for the NamesCon Global 2022 conference last summer in Austin, Texas.
