.Coms & 5 ccTLDs Fill This Week's Top 20 Domain Sales
Chart Including Five 3-Letter .Coms & One of the
Year's Top 5 ccTLD Sales
.Coms had another solid sales
week, filling eight of the first nine places on our latest weekly all
extension Top 20 Sales Chart. TheRecRoom.com led the
way with a nice $89,888 sale at Sedo. 3-letter .coms
continued to by wildly popular, claiming five places on the elite
list with #3 RSL.com leading that group with a $45,000
sale handled by Heritage
Auctions. The seller wasn't expecting to get that
much money but when they contacted HA's Aron Meystedt to shop
the domain around, Aron thought he could find a buyer at 45K and he did
so in professional soccer team Real Salt Lake, making everybody
very happy in the process.
The ccTLDs also had a good week with
five chart entries led by Sedo's $53,000 sale of #2 Videos.de.
That is also the 4th biggest country code sale reported so far this
year. A second ccTLD crashed the top 10 with Domaining.me
selling #10 Degree.me for $11,500. #12 (tie) Rapunzel.dk
also pulled five figures (selling for $10,600 at Sedo), as did
#15 (tie) CaliforniaPoker.us which changed hands for $10,000
in a private transaction

Flippa.com
joined Sedo as the only other venue with multiple chart entries.
They hit the trifecta with a trio of .coms led by #5 Divider.com
at $17,500 and #7 (tie) Automating.com at $15,000.
One Sedo's .com sales, #20 Ideals.com
at $8,100, looks to me like a good candidate for bargain of
the year. While this obviously has a well-known meaning as a
one-word dictionary domain (always valuable in their own right), I
think it has even more potential as an internet "deals"
brand - iDeals.com. "Deal" domains have been hot for
a long-time and this one is both short and sweet at an exceptional
price.
With the .coms and ccTLDs teaming up to
run the board, there was no room at the inn for the non .com
gTLDs. The highest sale in that category was Interview.net at
$6,300 via Flippa. Not enough to crack the Big Board but good
enough to lead the Non .Com gTLD Top 20 Chart further down in this report.

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org, .biz,
.info & others, including new gTLDs)
It was relatively slow going for the non .com gTLDs
with no five-figure sales reported this week. Flippa was able to
claim the top spot on our latest Non .Com gTLD
Top 20 Sales Chart with Interview.net at $6,300
and they went on to take three of the top four (and 7 chart entries
overall), adding #3 Christian.net at $4,500 and #4 MardiGras.net
at $4,250.
Sedo had their usual solid outing too, piling up 12
chart entries led by #2 Agro.net at $6,254. They
rounded out the first five with #5 Amira.org at $3,500.
The .nets easily won the extension race
with 11 chart entries. No other TLD had more than two. Here's how all of the Non .Com gTLD leaders
