Numeric Domains Help .Coms Sweep 19 of 20 Entries on This Week's Sales Chart

.Com  reminded everyone it's good to be king this week as they swept every position but one on our latest all extension Top 20 Sales  Chart. We were also again reminded that it is good to have Chinese buyers in the market as they continued to pay premium prices for  short domains, especially of the 3-letter or numeric variety. One from the latter group - 458.com - led this week's hit parade after being sold through Tracy Fogarty's eNaming.com for a cool $140,000. eNaming also claimed the #3 slot with OLife.com at $80,000

Sandwiched in between those two was BlueStar.com, a domain that DomainHoldings broker Hobi Michalec moved for $90,000. A new broker at DomainHoldings, Michelle Ehrlich, also made a nice debut this week, putting #17 (tie) ACTN.com on the Big Board at $15,000

A pair of sales at Michael Mann's DomainMarket.com helped round out the first five. #4 BroadSpectrum.com brought $75,000 and Human Edge.com shared the #5 spot after changing hands for $40,000. Sedo co-starred in that position with their own $40,000 sale of SexShows.com

By Ron Jackson

#7 WMD.com brought the short domain theme back to center stage with Paul W. Smith Jr. selling that domain through 4.cn for $37,500. Two more short numerics also landed on the elite list. DomainsNext.com sold #12 0145.com for $18,000 and Flippa.com teamed up with DomainHoldings to move #13 1095.com for $17,566.

I mentioned that the .coms took every chart entry but one. The lone exception was a one-letter ccTLD - #11 I.la - that sold for $19,900 at Sedo. The non .com gTLDs were left on the outside looking in but Flippa did have two nice five-figure .org sales off the chart -  Stockholm.org at $12,800 and OF.org at $10,601

Sedo rang up the most charted sales with seven while DomainMarket booked five. The big week for .com was also aided by IndusDomains.com who banked $15,000 for #17 (tie) BlackBuck.com.  .

Keep in mind that these are the highest value cash only sales that have been reported to us in the past week. This column is meant to be an educational tool, not a complete list documenting ALL high value domain sales. Such a list is impossible to produce because many sales are kept private at the insistence of buyers, sellers or both.
