Three-Letter .Coms Take 3 of the Top 4 Spots on This Week's Domain Sales Chart

The 3-letter .coms were back in the saddle this week with the perennially popular short acronyms claiming three of the first four spots on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart - including the #1 position. That went to WebQuest Inc.'s $47,000 sale of NDW.com.

NameJet, who reported all of their June sales at once this week, filled the runner-up slot with Selfies.com at $39,088. They then rounded out that 3-letter .com power trio with #3 OYY.com at $34,999 and #4 NFR.com at $33,600.

Sedo completed the first five with Codedelaroute.com at $26,640 - their first in a run of five consecutive chart entries that included the week's biggest non .com gTLD sale in #7 StopTheHate.org at $24,888, as well as the week's biggest ccTLD sale with #8 TV-Links.co.uk at $18,420.

The latter two categories were limited to two entries each but in each case both of their representatives reached the top half of the Big Board. The other non .com gTLD was #10 (tie) IFM.org, sold by Webquest for $15,000. The second ccTLD was #10 (tie) Tile.io, sold for $15,000 via Park.io.

The .coms swept everything else, 16 of 20 positions overall, including every spot on the second half of the elite list. Here is how all of the sales leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, July 3, 2016:
