Back on Track - 19 of the Week's Top 20 Domain Sales Reach Five Figures - Top Sale Just Misses Six

After a slow week last week things in the domain aftermarket returned to a familiar pattern this week with all but one name on our   all extension Top 20 Sales Chart reaching five figures and the leader just missing six. The kinds of domains drawing the most money also followed historical form with short .coms (including a trio of 3-letter .coms and another threesome of numeric .coms) making an especially  strong showing.

NameJet, who reported all of their August sales this week, set the pace with Cock.com at $93,000 and runner-up Xiaolong.com at $42,000. Undeveloped.com filled the 3rd spot with the week's highest ccTLD sale - Telefoon.nl ("phone" in Dutch) - at $34,160.

NameJet then rang up two more, rounding out the first first with a pair of 3-letter .coms - #4 IIU.com at $22,200 and #5 SZA.com at $22,000. They went on to pile up 12 of the 20 chart entries, including the lone non .com gTLD on the leader board, #16 AccessExcellence.org at $10,200.

The ccTLDs fared better with four charted sales including another Dutch domain at Undeveloped.com - #11 Hulp.nl ('Help" in Dutch) at $13,440. Golem.eu rang up the other two country code sales - #17 Doll.eu at $10,079 and #20 Ecom.eu at $9,968.

By Ron Jackson

That left the .coms in command of 15 chart positions including DomainMarket's $21,000 sale of #6 CorporateLeasing.com, SnapNames.com's $17,841 sale of 2904.com and a pair of sales at Sedo - #14 Vivado.com at $11,200 and #18 (tie) NapaConnect.com at $10,000.
