Two-Letter .Com Changes Hands for $650,000 to Take Top Spot on This Week's Domain Sales Chart

When a two-letter com changes hands you can count on the deal coming with a high price tag. In the latest example of that  DomainNameBroker.com closed a $650,000 transaction for DA.com that sent the domain to a buyer in China (as has been the case with many of these premier assets over the past year or two).  That makes four of the eight biggest sales reported so far this year two-letter .coms.

The runner up spot on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart went to PersianRugs.com, a domain the attracted $60,000 in a private transaction. Sedo completed the first five with three more .coms  - StarWorld.com at $35,000, Candlebrook.com at $22,800 and FansBet.com at $17,920.

The .coms went on to pile up 13 of the 20 chart entries. The ccTLDs also had a good outing, taking six spots on the elite list led by #7 Playground.de at $12,662 via Sedo. Two more of those country code domains landed on the top half of the leader board. DomainLore.co.uk  sold #9 Prescriptions.co.uk for $11,124 and Golem.eu moved #10 Normal.eu for $10,079.

The non .com gTLDs were left with just one representative on the Big Board - Synergy.media's $8,300 sale of new gTLD Vacation.guide
