In
our previous bi-weekly Domain Sales Report our charts were packed
top to bottom with impressive sales, prompting a headline
that heralded no
summer slowdown for domains. Now, just two weeks
later and coming out the long Labor Day holiday weekend
in the U.S. - a time regarded here as the unofficial end of
summer - the market seemed to join the crowd on a change of
season break.
Only one verified
public six-figure sale was reported, though a seven-figure
deal was completed under an NDA. In that one, Cyber.com
changed hands in yet another coup for Sedo
Premium Broker Mark Ghoriafi who brokered the deal and
was able to share the price range it went in.
|

|
|
That
left the gate open to the #1 position on our latest all
extension Top 20 Sales Chart for another world class
broker, James Booth at DomainBooth.com,
who handled a $250,000 sale of Orchestra.ai. That
deal also ranks as one of the ten sales year to date on our YTD
ccTLD Top 100 Sales Chart.
|
|
Further
evidence of the difference a great broker can make came from
the $87,500 sale of #2 Plateful.com closed by
Rob Schutz, the Founder of Snagged.com.
Rob shared a fascinating
story about the long and winding road he had to
follow to get that deal done. Be sure to check that out for a
master class on patience and persistence.
Starting
with the #3 sale of Little.co at $93,945, Atom.com
took over the spotlight and continued to hold it with four
more top ten sales and 7 of 20 chart entries overall. The rest
of their roster was composed of four .com and two .ai sales.
The .coms went on to sweep 11 chart entries overall. 8
spots went to ccTLDs (three of those being .ai
domains).
That
left only one position for the non .com gTLDs
but it was high one. #4 Paragon.xyx went for $50,000
after attracting a buyer through Efty.com.

Country
Codes
The ccTLDs
continue to show strength and it is coming from more places than
.ai alone. While the monster $250,000 sale of Orchestra.ai
by James Booth made .ai the leader on our latest Country Code Top 20 Sales
Chart, Atom's $83,945 sale of #2 Little.co lit up another
corner of the category . Also, while .AI had three of the top
ten sales, Germany's de matched that with a trio led by
#3 Butchery.de, a name that sold for $17,400 At Nameshift.com.
At the same time, Sedo
earned a big shout out in the venue race after racking up 13 chart
entries. Here is how
the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the two weeks ending Sunday,

that $50,000 sale of Paragon.xyz through Efty.
