The Big Numbers Are Back: A Million $ Sale at Sedo and Two Others in 6 Figures Top This Week's Chart

After seeing a long string of high end domain sales in recent months I characterized the market as taking a "breather" last week when the highest reported sale came in at less than $37,000. It turned out to be a short breath as the big numbers were back this week, including a $1 million sale of RX.com at Sedo. When you see sales in that range come in you don't even have to look to know there's a good chance Sedo's Senior Broker Dave Evanson had a hand in it and that indeed was the case here. In addition to topping our latest all extension Top 20 Sales Chart, Evanson's latest blockbuster ranks as the 3rd biggest sale reported so far this year. The only ones bigger than RX.com were last month's $30 million dollar sale of Voice.com (the biggest all cash domain sale ever reported) and the $3 million sale of California.com in January.

We also learned about a pair of six-figure sales made through CanavasMedia.com. They closed a $195,000 deal for #2 Message.com and also worked with BrandBucket.com to move #3 Skim.com at $105,000.

Rounding out the first five were Sedo's $35,000 sale of LGV.com and a $25,400 deal for ProPawn.com made by DomainMarket.com's Michael Mann.

While the .coms swept the first five spots, and 13 of 20 chart entries overall, the ccTLDs also had reason to be happy as they filled five slots on the Big Board. #6 Joy.tv led the country code contingent after China's Mai Lifang sold that domain for $20,000 in a private transaction. Sedo and DomainLore.uk each accounted for two ccTLD entries. Domain Lore scored with #10 Whisky.uk ($13,115) and #11 Insure.uk ($12,444) while Sedo weighed in with #12 (tie) OnlineCasino.cl ($11,100) and #20 Psychic.co.uk ($9,754).

The non .com gTLDs also got into the act, taking two places on the elite list with #9 Fiable.net at $14,640 and #12 (tie) Goku.net at $11,100.

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org and others, including new gTLDs)

While the Non .com gTLDs put two five-figure on the all extension leader board at the top of this report those were two of only three sales reported for the entire category (the fewest we have seen this year). Sedo gets credit for all three of those moving Fiable.net ($14,640), Goku.net ($11,100) and Sensors.org ($2,651).
