Skew.com Sends Uniregistry Straight to the Top of This Week's Domain Sales Chart

The word "skew" is often used to mean something that is not straight but Uniregistry's $92,000 sale of Skew.com put then on a direct path to the #1 position on our latest all weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart. Sedo scored at a similar level, banking $83,250 for #2 AceTech.com and, between them, the two aftermarket sales powerhouses went on to sweep all but one spot on the elite list.

Sedo claimed three of the top five sales en route to piling up 11 entries overall, with #3 Homee.com adding $40,000 to their ledger and #5 FacetData.com kicking in another $19,888. The week's biggest non .com sale was sandwiched in between those two at #4. That was a $20,000 sale of new gTLD Simple.life that Uniregistry made on behalf of seller WebQuest.

The lone sale that escaped the Sedo and Uniregistry trawlers was the week's biggest ccTLD sale - a $16,298 sale of Singles.uk that was handled by DomainLore.uk. That was one of five country code domains to earn spots on the Big Board. Uniregistry booked a $12,000 deal for #8 JOI.co while Sedo accounted for the other three with a trio led by #9 (tie) Beauty.co at $10,000

This column is meant to be an educational tool, not a complete list documenting ALL high value domain sales. Such a list is impossible to produce because many sales are kept private at the insistence of buyers, sellers or both. Country Codes

The ccTLDs were, of course, led by the five entries they have on the all extension leader board above with DomainLore.uk's $16,298 sale of Singles.uk leading the way. The biggest sale in this category that you haven't seen yet is #6 on our latest weekly Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart. That is Sedo's $5,529 sale of PlaySport.co.uk.

Sedo went on to sweep 19 of the 21 chart entries (the extra spot resulting from a tie for the final position). They rounded out the top half of the leader board with a nice string of short domains - Big.uk ($5,351), Super.mx ($4,218), CIM.io ($3,999) and Staci.de ($3,752).

Germany's .de and Great Britain's .uk finished the extension race tied with chart entries each (four of the British entries were of the more recently available .uk variety and the other was from the long established .co.uk branch of the UK tree).  Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the week ending Sunday, August 25, 2019:

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org and others, including new gTLDs)

After a strong week last week, things quieted back down in the Non .com gTLD category this week with only six sales reported from that group. On the plus side, one of those ranks among the 15 biggest non .com gTLD sales reported so far this year. That, of course, was chart topper Simple.life, the new gTLD that WebQuest sold via Uniregistry for $20,000.

Uniregistry scored a second time with #3 8852.net at $3,300, one step behind the $5,000 sale of #2 Tonic.app that Joy Antony made via DAN.com. Sedo filled the remaining three spots on the Non .com gTLD Top Sales Chart. Here is how the top non .com gTLD sales stacked up for the week ending Sunday, August 25, 2019:
