Mastermind.com Flipped for $325,000 Profit in 1 Year! New 600K Sale Tops This Week's Chart

Mastermind.com will make this a very Merry Christmas for a domain investor who bought the name just last year for $275,000. As Ed Keay-Smith reported at Domainer.com.au today, the name changed hands again earlier this year when Click Funnels Founder Russell Brunson ponied up $600,000 to get the top tier domain for a new project that has been launched with partners Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi. The price was revealed in a video that Brunson posted (and that Ed has embedded in his story). The background on the acquisition begins a little after the 13-minute mark. That puts Mastermind.com in the top 10 among sales reported so far this year. Last year's $275,000 sale of the domain finished at #31 on the 2018 Top 100.

.Coms went on to sweep the first eight spots our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart and 16 of 20 places overall. Braden Pollock's LegalBrandMarketing.com claimed the runner-up slot with Stairwell.com at $60,000. The next two places went to Michael Mann's DomainMarket.com where Narratives.com notched $52,500 and AlternativeData.com drew $50,000. Sedo rounded out the first five with XChange.com at $42,077. Uniregistry put seven more .coms on the elite list en route to piling up eight positions overall. Their roster was led by a pair of names that tied for the #6 spot - CompanionPet.com and PhoneParts.com at $25,000 each.

The ccTLDs finally stopped the .com run with Sedo's $20,813 sale of #9 Meds.co. The country codes put a second name on the Big Board, again thanks to Sedo, with #15 Thistledown.ca going for $15,495.

The non .com gTLDs also claimed two places on the honor roll with a pair of names that tied for #19 to fill the final two openings. Those were a $12,000 Sedo sale of Less.app and a Uniregistry sale of Spartacus.net at the same price.

We also learned this week about a six-figure sale of Let.com but can't chart it because the exact price paid is subject to an NDA. However, seller Yancy Naughton, the Founder at HasTraffic.com, was able to tell me that the price was over $150,000

Keep in mind that these are the highest value cash only sales that have been reported to us in the past week. This column is meant to be an educational tool, not a complete list documenting ALL high value domain sales. Such a list is impossible to produce because many sales are kept private at the insistence of buyers, sellers or both. Country Codes

The ccTLDs were, of course, led by the three sales you saw on the all extension portion of the report above with Sedo's $20,813 sale of Meds.co leading the way. The highest sales in this group that you haven't seen yet are a pair, also made through Sedo, that tied for #4 on our latest weekly Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart. Those are Bet.be and Rocca.it at $8,880 each.

Sedo went on to sweep 16 of the 20 chart entries. The highest exception to the Sedo rule was the $6,995 sale of Roost.io through Efty.com. Uniregistry also claimed a spot with #7 Send.tv, a name they sold for NamePros member donnied. The other positions went to DomainLore.uk where #18 GardenShed.co.uk sold for $2,310 and #20 ChristmasTrees.co.uk attracted $2,112.

Germany's .de nipped Great Britain's .co.uk 5-4 in the extension race. It was a very diverse week though with a dozen extensions represented on the leader board. Here is how the top ccTLD sales stacked up for the week ending Sunday, December 15, 2019:
