ConnectNow.com Clicks for Six Figures at Sedo as They Go on to Post 12 of the Week's Top 20 Sales

The first week of April was a particularly good one at Sedo.com. They closed a $120,000 sale of ConnectNow.com (one of the year's 10 biggest sales to date) to take the top spot on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart and with that sale they were just getting started. Sedo went on to sweep five of the top six reported sales and 12 of 20 places overall on the elite list.

Sedo's roster included #2 DublinHotels.com at $38,250 and the week's biggest country code sale - #4 Build.de at $33,000. Afternic prevented them from running off the first six in a row by claiming the #3 slot with TribalWars.com at $34,910

Only one venue other than Sedo has multiple chart entries. That was DomainNameSales (DNS) who hit the daily double with #8 Dissolve.com at $23,000 and #14 (tie) B12Shot.com at $15,000

That left five spots on the leader board to be divided up between five different venues. Golem.eu scored with #7 Able.eu at $23,580. That was one of three ccTLDs that qualified for the Big Board (a trio rounded out by #20 FirstDibs.co.uk, sold for $13,100 at Sedo).

By Ron Jackson

The .coms devoured everything else, piling up 17 chart entries and leaving the non .com gTLDs on the outside looking in. The latter group, with no reported sales reaching five figures, had no representatives in the Top 20.

DomainShop.us aided the .com cause by selling #9 Tempt.com in an impressive flip for $20,000. That domain had been acquired just three months ago for $7,700 through Sedo. Also earning chart honors this week were MostWantedDomains.com for #11 PublicRelationsFirm.com at $17,500, Rob Griffith for his $15,000 sale of #14 (tie) Electronics360.com in a private transaction and NoktaDomains for their $15,000 sale of #14 (tie) OnlinewritingJobs.com

Here is how all of the sales leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, April 7:

Keep in mind that these are the highest value cash only sales that have been reported to us in the past week. This column is meant to be an educational tool, not a complete list documenting ALL high value domain sales. Such a list is impossible to produce because many sales are kept private at the insistence of buyers, sellers or both.
